On a major transhipment site, the pavement had collapsed under the weight of a large forklift. There were no casualties but the underground cavity, about 2m deep, that had formed at this location was large enough to hold the entire lifttruck.
Concerned that other cavities may have formed, the site's administrators called upon our services to detect the presence of other cavities and to detect areas where underground cavities might be forming.
The electromagnetic induction instrument allowed us to scan several thousand square meters in just a few hours, a report and a map showing the coordinates of the potential cavities was quickly transmitted to the client.
Before the implementation of an intervention plan, so that the activities of the site can resume safely, the problem areas were temporarily barricaded.
